Summary of Main Points of Meeting:
- Welcome

Open Meeting
- To be held in slops on Wednesday 19th November
- Will start at 6.15pm
- Will be area for people who want to eat and not participate; and to participate
but not eat
- Sound system required: Ian to organise
- Will need to distribute paper copies of budget etc; about 1 per 10 seats?
- Try to limit to essential motions; keep it quick!
- Await confirmation from College

JCRC meal with Masters
- Thank you: invite Fleet + Everitt and wives to dinner in West Lodge
- Variety of menus discussed, 4 courses + port + non-Downing wine will be about £27
- Agreed to pay for 4 guest tickets. Voted 5-1 to subsidise JCRC tickets by 50%.
- "Get the vote out" conference
- Conference organised by Electoral Commission about EU elections etc
- May be useful for tackling voter apathy at Downing
- Contact Ian if interested
- Catering Questionnaire
- Malcolm circulated copy of questionnaire by email
- Need to keep simple so easy to analyse
- Paper copies in plodge and outside slops
- Matt to sort out website version
- Will give us support in negotiations with College about KFC etc

- Great Hall has limited capacity, need to check fire regulations. Could we spill outside?

- Sending letter to Bursar about Data Network Connection Charge
- Regent Street door - need to ask porters to use it. Awaiting door-closing spring. Domestic Bursar needs hurrying along.
- Objections to somewhat biased letter to CUSU about primate testing lab. Been sent already. Typical CUSU.

- Matt: What about World Aids Day? Promote Red Ribbon Ball.
- Ian: We are going to donate charity charge money via RAG. It will go to
the same charities but we'll shoot up the RAG league table.
- James: Check wording about guests buying drinks in the bar
- James: There's spare money in the budget. Are there any big-ticket items
we would consider buying?
