If you're bored of playing
the same person, looking for some new competition, or simply want to see how
much you can improve in the space of a year; look no further.
The ladder is open to ALL members of Downing College and you can be of any
standard. If you're interested in joining, please email the Administrator with
the following information:

Booking a Squash Court
+ Call Kelsey Kerridge on 01223
462226 and a book a court, quoting
the account number 1002080. Each
slot is only 40 minutes. It is therefore advisable to make a double booking.
+ Go to the plodge and
obtain tokens for the court.
College Teams
+ Seeds 1 – 5 will
represent the Downing Men's First team.
+ Seeds 6 – 10 will represent
the Downing Men's Second team.
+ The top 3 female seeds
will represent the Downing Women's team.
Challenging
+ Every challenge must be
clearly stated as; Friendly or Competitive.
Friendly Challenges
+ Any member of the ladder
can challenge any other member on this basis, and the challenged member is at
free will to accept or decline the challenge at their own convenience.
Competitive Challenges
+ Seeds 2 – 5 may
only challenge a maximum 1 seed above themselves.
+ Seeds 6 – 10 may
only challenge a maximum 2 seeds above themselves.
+ Seeds 11 – 20 may
only challenge a maximum 3 seeds above themselves.
+ Seeds 21 and above may
only challenge a maximum 4 seeds above themselves.
+ The receipt of all
challenges must be accepted and confirmed within 48hrs during NPR or subsequently forfeited.
+ The game must then be
played within 7 days of
confirmation or subsequently forfeited.
+ Evidence of forfeit must
be supplied to the Administrator before placed in effect.
+ All games are to be best
of 5, English scoring to 9 while playing any seed 1 – 10. Best of 3 will
suffice for all other seeds but you are at liberty to choose.
+ The winner will occupy
the higher of the two seeds.
+ If the lower seed wins,
the loser will shift down one seed.
+ It is the responsibility
of the winner to forward the result (either played or forfeited) to the Administrator
so the ladder may be updated.
